In the blog post, the singer expressed her satisfaction with her latest album. She felt that she had been able to convey more honesty in her music than before. This was a unique opportunity for her to be more vulnerable with her listeners. One specific song spoke to her in particular, called 'Happy for You.' The song is about moving on from a past relationship and genuinely being happy for the other person's progress. The singer felt that she couldn't have written this song in her earlier albums. It required her to grow both personally and professionally before being able to express these emotions.
Lipa discussed how her personal growth has been influenced by her past relationships and expressed her desire for a partner who values loyalty, openness, and honesty. She believes that every relationship and experience can teach you more about yourself and what you need from a partner. Vulnerability is crucial in any relationship, and Lipa has gone through hurtful experiences where she felt inadequate and lost her confidence. Nonetheless, she has learned to regain her confidence and hopes to find a partner who supports her and makes her feel valued.
She went on to say, "It's crucial to discover what your non-negotiables are because they help you understand your needs. It's not just about finding the correct person; it's more about finding the appropriate relationship. You can learn about your deal-breakers by observing your friendships and romantic relationships. What are the things you can compromise on? [...] For me, I value loyalty, openness, and honesty. I'm willing to reciprocate those qualities. You have to determine what these attributes are for yourself."
