The song "Houdini" by Dua Lipa has climbed to the first spot on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, overtaking the second place and securing its position on the ranking dated March 2nd.

Lipa has achieved her fifth title as a top performer on Dance/Mix Show Airplay. This ranking system evaluates songs based on their weekly play count on a group of core dance radio stations that operate 24/7, as well as mix show hours on pop stations. Mediabase, supported by Luminate, tracks the data and provides it to Billboard.

Lipa's song "Houdini" pays tribute to the famous magician Harry Houdini. It reached the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, marking Lipa's second time achieving this feat. Released on Warner Records, the song debuted at number one in November and has now spent 10 weeks at the top as of the latest chart published on February 24.

After passing away in 1926, Houdini has continued to be featured in various popular songs. In 1962, Walter Brennan's track "Houdini" made it to the 100th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Kon Kan's "Harry Houdini" reached No. 33 on Dance Singles Sales in 1989. Foster the People had their own hit with "Houdini" in 2012, which reached No. 37 on Alternative Airplay.

While looking through the historical records of the Billboard, an interesting discovery was made - an advertisement appeared in the December 29, 1934 issue drawn by Bess, Harry Houdini's widow, in honor of Billboard's 40th anniversary (dating back to the first edition published on November 1, 1894). Bess shared that she and the Billboard both began their show business ventures in the same year. The advertisement included a congratulatory message to Billyboy and expressed surprise at how much Billboard had grown.
