Little shared with the Big Issue that it felt both good and bad to bid farewell to Death in Paradise after being in the main role for four years, and considered it to be one of the most significant and enchanting incidents in their life.
During a chat with BBC Breakfast, he admitted that he and the BBC had jointly agreed that the character had reached the end of their journey.
He expressed that if he solely depended on his emotions, he would have chosen to continue acting for two decades longer. However, taking into account the script and his role as Neville, he believed that his character's story deserved a satisfying conclusion. Consequently, he felt content with his decision to leave the show.
In regards to his upcoming acting position, Little desires to challenge himself by portraying a character that deviates from his usual amiable roles. During an interview with the Big Issue, he expressed his yearning to embody a villainous persona. Little stated that it would be satisfying to portray an unpleasant character since he has consistently played affable roles throughout his career. He aims to astonish himself and the viewers with this new undertaking.
The petite individual has departed, thus, we should examine some of the influential and important individuals striving for the position. It is highly probable that one of these individuals may embark on a half-year filming journey in the Caribbean, which, to be frank, is as glamorous as television work can be.

Rupert Grint will always be associated with his portrayal of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies. However, bookies Coral have recently reduced their odds on him being chosen as the next lead in Little, a TV show. Grint is an exciting prospect for the role of Death in Paradise because he hasn't had as many high-profile roles as his former Harry Potter co-stars.
Nevertheless, he has recently showcased his outstanding abilities in some eerie and intense projects for filmmaker M Night Shyamalan in the TV series Servant and the suspenseful movie Knock at the Cabin. Therefore, he is likely prepared to transition to the more cheerful atmosphere of Saint Marie – despite the constant occurrence of murders.
