Runham signs professional contract

Frankie Runham, a midfielder for the Academy, has officially agreed to his initial professional contract with Chelsea.

At eight years old, Runham became a member of the Blues. He made history by scoring a goal against Dinamo Zagreb in November 2022 and becoming the youngest-ever UEFA Youth League goalscorer at just 15 years of age.

Jim Fraser, head of youth development and recruitment, expressed great pleasure in Chelsea's decision for Frankie to further advance in his growth.

Throughout the Under 17s and 18s games, he has repeatedly displayed his adaptability and excellence. We're excited to see him continue to improve as the season goes on.

Runham has participated in the Under-15 and Under-16 teams for England and has had the opportunity to practice with the primary Chelsea team during this current season.
