Customers are encountering difficulties in reaching the ChatGPT application and its corresponding website. Additional information indicates that a Microsoft outage has impacted the availability of Bing.com and DuckDuckGo services as well as ChatGPT.

The web is home to a very famous AI tool that garners a whopping 13 million daily users.

This morning, ChatGPT experienced a significant disruption, resulting in an inability for its users to reach either the application or the website.

Hundreds of individuals worldwide have been impacted as per DownDetector starting at 8am BST.

The company called OpenAI, who created ChatGPT, has recognized that there is a problem and provided a statement which says: 'At the moment we are examining the situation.'

Individuals turned to X platform (Twitter) to express their annoyance regarding the requirement to use their own mental faculties without the assistance of the AI technology.

This morning, users of ChatGPT faced a significant outage that disrupted their ability to use the app or visit the website.

Based on the reports from DownDetector, a significant number of individuals around the world have experienced disruptions since 8am BST.

Down Detector receives notifications about the status of networks from multiple sources which involve social media platforms and submissions sent to their website.

The website reported that a large majority, specifically 79 percent, of those impacted claimed to encounter difficulties with ChatGPT in general.

At the same time, some individuals provided more detailed information - 15% revealed that they encountered difficulties with the application while 6% expressed that they were incapable of utilizing the website.

One user commented on X that ChatGPT is not working. They expressed their frustration about having to come up with solutions on their own.

Someone else wrote: 'I hit a new low when I found out that ChatGPT was experiencing problems, and my first thought was to check Twitter to confirm it. It's crazy how much this affects my everyday life.'

One more comment read: 'I am facing a bad morning because ChatGPT is not working. I should reduce my dependence on it.'

A particular user on Twitter, identified as X, made a statement about ChatGPT being non-operational and exclaimed how could they make him/her think for themselves.

"Completely spoiling my morning": ChatGPT is someone that people depend on for various purposes such as work and education.

Another person on X website indicated that "it's crazy how much it affects my daily routine." As per the Tooltester, ChatGPT had an average of 13 million distinct visitors in January 2023.

Similar to what usually happens during network interruptions, individuals have hurriedly turned to X (Twitter) to check if everyone else is encountering a similar situation.

OpenAI stated on their ChatGPT official status page that some users are unable to access it.

The statement further added that they are currently looking into this matter.

OpenAI has been approached by MailOnline to provide additional information regarding the reason for the service interruption and the number of individuals impacted.

ChatGPT has been incredibly successful since its launch in November 2022 due to its talent for providing responses that resemble those of humans when interacting with many different queries.

According to Tooltester, the website had around 13 million different people visit it every day during January 2023.

The incident occurred only a couple of weeks following a significant Microsoft system failure which resulted in the temporary shut down of ChatGPT, Bing.com and DuckDuckGo for numerous users.

The folks at OpenAI have informed us that there is a issue with ChatGPT's web browsing abilities. This is due to Bing currently being unavailable.
