Jon Rahm and Carlos Alcaraz are representing Spain in their respective sports.

Rahm has earned two major titles, whereas Alcaraz has achieved victory in four Grand Slam tournaments. Alcaraz is aiming to secure his fifth Grand Slam win at the upcoming U.S. Open competition.

At 21 years old, Alcaraz has already moved beyond being considered a "young prodigy".

"What can I say? He's not a god - he's a demigod," Rahm explained to Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

Rahm spoke highly of his fellow Spanish tennis player, who is on track to become the next rising star in the sport.

"He is definitely heading in that direction. I don't think anyone saw this coming. Just as Rafael Nadal is nearing the end of his career, Carlos appears out of nowhere and emerges as the next great star. It's really fascinating. Just like that, you go from Nadal with 22 Grand Slams and numerous achievements, to this new guy suddenly having four in just two years. It's truly unbelievable."

I can't praise him enough. He is confident, charming, and incredibly talented on the basketball court. He definitely knows how to entertain. It's truly something unique.

Rahm had the opportunity to watch Alcaraz live during the tournament this week. Rahm and his team, Legion XIII, collaborated with Maestro Dobel Tequila, the official tequila of the U.S. Open. This partnership was a great match for the golfer.

Ever since arriving in the United States, I have discovered a lot about tequila and I have always found it to be very enjoyable. I am not someone who drinks a lot, so when I do, I prefer to savor it. I am not the type of person who prioritizes quantity over quality," Rahm chuckled. "During my adventures, I discovered Maestro Dobel, and it is something that I have truly appreciated.

"We joined forces with the PGA Tour, so when the chance arose, I eagerly agreed to participate. Being at the forefront of this collaboration and witnessing its inception was unexpected, reminding me of how my family first got into golf purely by chance. It seemed like a natural partnership that was destined to succeed."

Since Rahm participates in a sport by himself, he feels a connection to tennis. However, he emphasizes the importance of observing athletes up close whenever he goes to a sports event.

When you reach a high level of skill or talent, you can understand the journey of others who are also striving to excel in their craft. That's why when I attend sports events, I make sure to pay attention and observe athletes like [Novak] Djokovic closely. Watching them in person allows you to see all the details that might be missed on TV. By watching closely and learning from these elite athletes, you can pick up on small nuances that can improve your own performance. It's a fun and valuable experience to witness greatness up close.

What do athletes do when they make an amazing shot, win a match, or win a set? In life, we all encounter obstacles. In my opinion, tennis is a sport where you often miss shots, similar to golf. It can be seen as fortunate or unfortunate, but I engage in a sport where failure is more common than success.

In tennis, Roger Federer described it perfectly. He only managed to win 54% of the points he played, but those points belong to him. Every now and then he was fortunate. It's fascinating to observe how players navigate those lucky breaks and maintain their composure throughout the game.
