Callum Styles makes Barnsley FC history at European Championships

CALLUM Styles

Callum Styles achieved a significant milestone on Sunday by becoming the first player from Barnsley FC to compete in the European Championships.

The 24-year-old player didn't get to play in Hungary's first two group matches against Germany and Switzerland because he was injured.

However, he made his debut on Sunday night against Scotland, as the Magyars scored a last-minute winning goal to eliminate Steve Clarke's team from the tournament.

He was given a yellow card only 18 minutes into the game for a dangerous tackle on Aston Villa's top player, John McGinn, and was later taken out of the game in the 61st minute.

This indicates that Styles and his fellow players have earned three points in the group, but they will need to wait to see if they advance to the knockout rounds as one of the top four third-place teams.
