Eddie Murphy is back in action as the much-adored detective Axel Foley after a span of twenty years in the highly anticipated fourth instalment of the legendary Beverly Hills Cop comedic series, entitled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is scheduled to be available for streaming on Netflix. In this movie, Murphy's clever cop, Axel Foley, returns to his old stomping grounds. Foley exclaims in the teaser trailer, as he puts on his sunglasses, "I'll be alright, they really like me in Beverly Hills."

The synopsis of the film states that Jane, Foley's daughter, is in danger, and so they work together with a fresh partner, as well as their old buddies Billy Rosewood and Taggart. They aim to intensify their efforts and find out about a plot.

In 1984, the inaugural installment of Beverly Hill Cop premiered and became the top-earning American flick for the duration of the year. Sylvester Stallone was initially a probable option to portray Foley but ended up being substituted by Eddie Murphy. Murphy later returned as the same character for two follow-up productions, which came out in 1987 and 1994.

The fourth part of the series had been under development for quite some time, until it eventually began its filming process in the year 2022.

The cast for the upcoming movie includes familiar faces like Murphy as Foley, as well as returning actors such as Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot, John Ashton, and more. Joining them are newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shari Headley, along with Kevin Bacon.

Axel F from Beverly Hills Cop is expected to come out on Netflix in the year 2024.
