Jennifer Lopez officially ended her marriage to Ben Affleck on August 20, following their separation in April. Although the exact reasons for their divorce remain unknown, fans believe they have pinpointed the moments when Affleck realized he no longer wanted to be married to Lopez.

Fans were talking for weeks about Affleck and Lopez, who were living separately and didn't celebrate their second wedding anniversary in July. With the singer in the Hamptons and Affleck in Los Angeles, people were wondering if they would get back together or break up. It turns out they decided to end their relationship.

Many people on the internet were skeptical about the couple's future, believing that their previous interactions hinted at the eventual breakup of their relationship.

"LOL, a user on X, previously known as Twitter, joked that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were divorcing on the same day this video was released. The clip showed Affleck guiding Lopez to the passenger seat of their car.

In the popular video by The Hollywood Fix, the ex-partners walk quietly to their vehicle, with Affleck leading the way and Lopez following behind. Affleck then graciously opens the car door for Lopez, patiently waiting until she is safely inside before closing it shut.

Affleck was heard telling the paparazzi filming them, "I believe you have what you need," before quickly getting into the car from the side where the driver sits.

One observer made a prediction that, when he said, 'I think you got it,' to the pap after slamming that door, it proved he truly understood. He didn't hide his frustration, even though he knew it was being recorded. So yeah, it's pretty funny.

Another person agreed: "Oh, I believe we all definitely knew at that time."

Some people believed that a brief interaction between them at the 2023 Grammys hinted at Affleck's restlessness.

"This is the day I realized Ben was not pleased with Jennifer Lopez," a user named X stated with a video showing the two popular celebrities at a well-known awards show. In the clip, Affleck seemed to murmur something to Lopez before she turned around. She appeared to react, urging Affleck to modify his actions. His expression immediately turned serious.

Another spectator stated: "Indeed, he had grown weary of being her puppet."

"Someone said she appears to be lecturing him as if he were a child," another person commented, and someone else added: "He seemed unwilling to stay there."

Viewers of Lopez's documentary on her relationship with Affleck, titled The Greatest Love Story Never Told, witnessed another tense moment between the couple. In the film, Lopez is seen in the recording studio with her team, revealing a personal part of her relationship with Affleck. She shared a binder filled with love letters, emails, and messages exchanged between them, which Affleck had compiled as a gift for Lopez for their first Christmas reunion in 2021.

During the incident, Lopez believed that sharing the binder with her team was a way to express gratitude for Affleck's romantic gesture. However, Affleck viewed it as an invasion of privacy.

Talking to the camera crew, Affleck confessed, "The book I had gifted her was down there. She mentioned, 'I've been reading it to others. It's been inspiring them and I've been sharing the book with them.'

"I was showing the musicians all those letters and they started calling me Pen Affleck. I was surprised and excited by this new nickname," he shared. "I found the beauty, poetry, and irony in the fact that it's like the greatest love story never told. Making a record about it feels like finally telling the story."

Lopez officially requested a divorce from Affleck in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 20, stating that they separated on April 26. They had been married since July 2022, nearly two decades after breaking off their engagement.
