Strictly Come Dancing: JB Gill thanks supporters after dance partner Amy Dowden rushed to hospital
JB Gill, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, expressed his gratitude to fans following the hospitalization of his dance partner, Amy Dowden, after their performance on Saturday.
Dowden, 34, was absent from the pre-recorded results show on Sunday, leaving Gill, 37, to discover on his own if he would be in the dance-off.
The pair managed to steer clear of the last two spots following their Halloween week performance of the foxtrot to "Dancing In The Moonlight" by Toploader.
Dowden, hailing from Caerphilly in South Wales, made a complete comeback to the professional circuit this year following her treatment for breast cancer.
It was revealed that the dancer, who also suffers from Crohn's disease, would be coming back to the show after undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy treatment.
She teamed up with JLS vocalist Gill, and together they've made it to the top 10.
Sky News has learned that another professional, Lauren Oakley, will replace Dowden during Monday's rehearsals while she focuses on her recovery.
In an Instagram post, Gill expressed gratitude, saying: "On behalf of both myself and @amy_dowden, I want to extend a big thank you to everyone for your support and votes."
