Britney Spears has come to an agreement with her soon-to-be former spouse Sam Asghari, just a few days after coming to an arrangement with her distant father.
Spears and Sam Asghari presented a proposal to a judge for the division of their assets, as per court documents filed in Los Angeles on Thursday. This comes nine months post their separation.
The legal documents did not provide a lot of information, but they did mention that Spears and Asghari will not receive any spousal support in the future. When Asghari first filed the paperwork, he had stated that he wanted financial support. In the event of any further disagreements, they will have to resolve them through private arbitration.
It's probable that a judge will approve the agreed-upon resolution soon and officially declare them both as individuals without a partner.
Lawyers for both Spears and Asghari have not responded promptly to emails requesting additional information or comments.
The ex-partners did not have any kids between them; hence, they did not require any legal arrangement for custody. To reveal a tragic episode, Spears disclosed in her published book last year that she and Asghari faced a preterm miscarriage a month ago before they tied the knot.
The famous singer, who is 42 years old, and her partner, a 30-year-old model and actor named Asghari, decided to part ways in July. This happened after they had been married for about 13 months and were in a relationship for seven years. In August, he officially filed for divorce.
In June of 2022, she got married at her own home and many famous people like Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, and Drew Barrymore were in attendance. This was a significant and powerful moment for her as she had just been released from a court conservatorship that had been controlling her life and finances for over 13 years. It marked a new beginning in her life and was a major achievement.
A couple of days after the announcement of her split, Spears finally spoke up. She released a video that captured her standing in her own house. In the video, she was wiping her face and neck with a tissue before starting to dance.
Spears took to the caption to inform her followers that her previous partner, who goes by Hesam but also known as Sam, and herself are no longer in a relationship.
Being in a relationship for six years is quite a lengthy period. It's surprising to me, but at the same time, I don't feel obligated to clarify or justify my reasons to anyone. It's my personal matter. To be candid, I had to end the relationship because the emotional distress was unbearable.
She expressed gratitude towards her friends for sending her heart-warming messages that made her emotional. She admitted that she has been putting up a strong façade for a while now and although her Instagram profile may seem flawless, it does not reflect the actual truth, which is something everyone is aware of.
She expressed her desire to express her emotions and shed tears according to her true feelings. However, due to certain reasons, she had to conceal her vulnerabilities. If she didn't behave as her father's tough soldier, she would have been taken to various places to undergo medical treatment. This was the time when she required her family's support the most. Love should be given without any limitations, not with conditions attached to it.
