British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has been taken into custody in Australia following accusations of sexual assault.

Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 29 years old, was taken into custody in Brisbane on Tuesday and transported to Perth the following day.

He faces allegations of sexually assaulting a woman in her twenties at his hotel in Perth on September 28, following a show at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys the previous evening.

The rapper, who has over three million followers on Instagram, had taken the stage at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast just two days before he was arrested.

He is facing charges for four instances of sexual penetration without consent, three instances of assault, and one instance of obstructing someone's normal breathing or circulation by pressing on their neck.

Mr. Barrientos is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The gathering at Bar1, where Mr. Barrientos took the stage before the supposed assault, promoted the UK rapper's show as the "perfect night out."

MoshTix shared, "The event is sure to be a perfect mix of unexpected moments, laughter, and music that you'll be buzzing about for weeks!"

Mr. Barrientos launched his YouTube channel in 2013 and started posting music content in 2017.

He worked together with fellow British rapper Aitch on the track "Grey," which received over 2.5 million views on YouTube and 10 million streams on Spotify.

The 29-year-old has gone on to present multiple programs on the BBC, such as Hot Property and Yung Filly's Celeb Lock-In, and has also made an appearance on Channel 4's The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

Mr. Barrientos has collaborated with a variety of fashion labels, recently teaming up with ASOS and Perplex. His experience also includes partnerships with well-known brands like McDonald's, the British retail chain Primark, and Captain Morgan rum.

He began his Australian tour in Perth and then went on to perform in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast, where he held four concerts.
