British YouTuber Yung Filly has been brought to court on charges of raping and strangling a woman in his hotel room in Perth following a performance, as reported by Australian media outlets.

The 29-year-old man, identified as Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was apprehended in Brisbane on Tuesday and was sent to Perth the following day.

Reports suggest that the rapper and BBC host is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her twenties at his hotel room in Perth. This incident reportedly took place after he gave a performance in Hillarys, a northern coastal suburb of the Western Australian capital, on September 28.

Western Australia Police announced that the investigation is still active and that detectives from the Sex Assault Squad are encouraging anyone who has information about this case or any similar events to contact Crime Stoppers.

Filly appeared at the Perth Magistrates' Court on Thursday facing charges that include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of causing bodily harm through assault, and one count of obstructing a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

The court proceedings were paused, and he was allowed to be released on bail with certain conditions. These conditions prohibit him from reaching out to the person he is accused of harming and from discussing the case on social media, despite his large following, according to ABC.

Filly, currently traveling through Australia, showed up in court wearing a casual grey sweater and only spoke to state his name, as reported by the Australian broadcaster.

It was reported that the star's supporters were present in court for the hearing.
