A Definitive Guide to the "You" Season 4 Filming Locations
Joe Goldberg’s back at it again in Netflix’s dark series You. This time, the serial stalker is enjoying a permanent holiday in London under the identity of professor Jonathan Moore. The fourth season of the show (which is borderline Dan Humphrey fanfiction for Gossip Girl fans) sets Joe up as an outsider among the rich and plays out across a series of fascinating settings. While filmed in London, Paris, and Los Angeles, the latest installment—which is being released in two parts, with the first five episodes out now and the last five dropping on March 9—mainly takes place in England. Ahead, dive into all of the filming locations that bring the suspenseful series to life—from a historic campus to an English country house.

While Darcy College isn’t a real university, the spectacular campus at Royal Holloway, University of London is quite real. In the show, Joe is able to walk to the university from his flat in London. In reality, the Royal Holloway is located 40 minutes by train from London in a town called Egham in Surrey, England. Set on 135 acres, the university’s Founder’s Building, which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1886, was mainly used for the exterior scenes throughout the season.

Even though Royal Holloway acts as Darcy College, Lincoln’s Inn in London provides the backdrop for the library of the fictional university. The society for barristers is made up of various historic buildings that have been used for other productions like Downtown Abbey. The society’s library, of course, is where Joe and his student Nadia have some of their chats.

The exterior of Joe’s London flat is portrayed as a building on Kynance Mews, a popular street in London’s South Kensington neighborhood. The row of flats can be found along a cobblestone street marked by an arched entrance.
Old BillingsgateThe gallery where Kate hosts Simon’s art show is actually Old Billingsgate, an event space on the north bank of the River Thames. The historic spot was once a famous fish market that operated until 1982.
Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity SquareThe White Lotus isn’t the only production making use of the incredible Four Seasons hotels as of late. According to Distractify, the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square was used as a filming location for You. While not confirmed, it seems as though a residence with a terrace in the hotel is Lady Pheobe’s modern, luxury flat. Perhaps this Four Seasons property isn't as fairytale-like as the San Domenico Palace in Italy, but it has an impeccable view of the city.
Knebworth HouseCourtesy of Netflix
The lavish Knebworth House in England’s Hertfordshire plays the country home where Joe and the crew venture off to spend some… chaotic quality time. The romantic exterior features turrets, domes, and gargoyles, while the interiors are filled with Victorian furniture, decor, and other heirlooms. The home has been tapped as a filming location for various productions over the years including The Crown and Simple Minds’s music video for “Don't You (Forget About Me).”

Knebworth House first rose to fame as the home of writer and politician Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton. Along with the main house, the property has extensive gardens, a park (where many rock concerts are held), a playground, and more. After a seasonal closure, Knebworth House plans to welcome back visitors on select days throughout the year starting on March 19.
A few other brief locations featured in season four of You include St. Pancras International Station, Notting Hill, Commercial Tavern, and Luxembourg Gardens in Paris.
