England was shocked during the 2024 European Championship semifinal when Xavi Simons scored the first goal for the Netherlands at the Signal Iduna Park in Germany on Wednesday.
Simons scored his first goal for the senior national team in competitive play from outside the box during the seventh minute. The 21-year-old player, who began developing his skills at La Masia, the renowned Barcelona academy that also trained Lionel Messi, made his debut at the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
