Wrexham's fairytale story is set for its next chapter as they prepare to claim another Championship scalp in the FA Cup.

The National League club are flying high as they top the table under the stewardship of their Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - but football's oldest cup competition offers them the chance for an extra slice of magic this season.

Having dumped out Coventry in a seven-goal thriller away from home in the third round, the Red Dragons welcome Sheffield United to the Racecourse Ground in what promises to be a sterner test. The Blades are currently second in the Championship and on course for promotion to the Premier League, but that won't give them any protection from a potential upset.

Here is all you need to know about the game.

When is Wrexham vs Sheffield United?

The two sides will meet in the FA Cup fourth round tie at the Racecourse Ground on Sunday January 29, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30pm.

They have only met once in the FA Cup in their history - a first round tie back in 1983 which the Blades won comfortably in a thumping 5-1 scoreline on away turf.

What's been said?

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson

"It's a team at a higher level in terms of league position than Coventry," said Parkinson. "We have had them watched a couple of times and they are a good side, we know that.

"But it is all about us setting out how we are going to play and see if we can put in a good performance, and I am sure we will. It is going to be a cracking atmosphere at The Racecourse.

"These are the bonus games, the lads can go out there and just play with real freedom; go and express themselves and do our best to try and cause a cup shock.

"There is a lot of belief in the group, I don't think there's any doubt about that, but we have also got to be very respectful to Sheffield United.

"But like we did at Coventry, we are going to go to win it, play in a really positive manner and give it everything we have got."

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom

On the fixture being built as a 'glamour tie':

"That's how it has been built and that's why it's on TV but that's not for us we are picking a team to win it we have other things. We would love to win this and have more games in the cup but we also have 18 games in the league to focus on as well."

On Wrexham's progress:

"They have got players who have turned down league football to play in the conference. We know we are playing a team in a false position, they have won every home game and we know that's a big thing in front of us.

"They have threats at the top end of the pitch, midfielders breaking forward and the long throw as well. We know they are going to be a threat from set-plays and getting bodies in our box; we know we will have to deal with that and then try and make it difficult for them."
