West Brom vs Wolves suspended amid crowd trouble in FA Cup fourth-round clash

The FA Cup match between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the fourth round was halted for more than half an hour due to disturbances in the crowd.

The police had to step in as it appeared that conflicts erupted among viewers at the Hawthorns. Moreover, an object thrown by the crowd hit a ball boy.

The police intervened with batons to control the crowd while the players were escorted off the field. Supporters flooded onto the pitch, and a few were injured and bleeding.

The matter will be investigated by the Football Association (FA), according to their official confirmation.

A message stated that the disturbance that happened during the Black Country derby, where West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers were playing, is totally intolerable.

Staying safe and secure is extremely vital, and the conduct of the individuals involved was risky and cannot be justified.

"We'll work with the clubs and authorities to examine these severe incidents and take necessary measures."

In the 77th minute, Wolves was two goals ahead thanks to Matheus Cunha's goal, which came after Pedro Neto's opening goal in the first half. This event occurred at some point in time.

The game was paused when there were only ten minutes left in regular play.

The game continued in the 78th minute after a pause of 37 minutes.

The Wolves were able to make it to the fifth-round of the FA Cup after claiming a win in the match.
