O’Neil departs as Wolves head coach

Wolves have severed ties with head coach Gary O’Neil and his coaching team.

O'Neil joined Molineux only three days before the beginning of the 2023/24 Premier League season. He faced a tough task but ultimately led the Old Gold to a successful year.

In his inaugural season as coach, Wolves achieved a remarkable victory against Manchester City and secured impressive wins over Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. They also triumphed over their rivals West Bromwich Albion on their way to reaching the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Chairman Jeff Shi expressed his appreciation for Gary, stating, "We truly thank Gary for his commitment, hard work, and contributions to the club. We wish him and his team all the best moving forward."
