Heavy rain and strong wind warning for parts of Scotland

Wind warning

Scotland is experiencing high winds and intense rain, particularly in the western regions.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning starting at 11 am on Wednesday and ending at 8 am on Thursday.

The alert includes the regions of the Highlands and Islands, Strathclyde, Perthshire, Stirlingshire, and Dumfries and Galloway.

Intense rain may cause dangerous driving conditions and potential flooding, while powerful winds and high tides could result in flooding along the coast.

Tonight, there will be more heavy rain and strong winds associated with the leftovers of Hurricane Ernesto. The western regions can expect drier weather by Thursday morning.
