The preview for the film version of "Wicked," the famous musical with the identical title, has been unveiled.
On Thursday, Universal Pictures released the official trailer well in advance of the theatrical release of the first installment of "Wicked," which is still over six months away.
"Wicked" is a musical adaptation of the well-known novel by Gregory Maguire. The story revolves around two aspiring witches in the land of Oz, with one being a contemplative green-skinned character who will eventually become the infamous Wicked Witch of the West, and the other a cheerful and bubbly blonde who will become the beloved Glinda the Good Witch. This musical serves as a prequel to the classic story of "The Wizard of Oz."
This film is under the direction of Jon M. Chu, who is known for his works such as "Crazy Rich Asians" and "In the Heights." Meanwhile, its production is being handled by Marc Platt, whose notable projects include "La La Land" and "The Little Mermaid."
Adam Sandler has been confirmed by Netflix to star in the much-awaited sequel of ‘Happy Gilmore’. The announcement has been made official and fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to be released soon.
The upcoming film "Wicked" has Cynthia Erivo playing Elphaba, who is the Wicked Witch of the West. Ariana Grande will be portraying Glinda, the good witch. Michelle Yeoh will be seen as the headmistress of their school, while Jonathan Bailey will be playing the role of Fiyero. Ethan Slater will be seen as Boq, Marissa Bode will be playing the role of Nessarose, who is Elphaba's favorite sister, and Jeff Goldblum will be the Wizard of Oz.

Goldblum expressed that he has previously encountered thrilling adventures such as being pursued by prehistoric creatures and venturing inside an enormous spacecraft. He even had an experience of becoming a fly. However, participating in this movie has been a unique and enchanting experience for him. He described the entire journey as surreal and dream-like.
When Is The 'Wicked' Film Coming Out?
The initial segment of "Wicked" will premiere in cinemas on November 27th. The second portion is scheduled to release on Thanksgiving in 2025.
