'Wicked' movie trailer released: Cast includes Ariana Grande, Jeff Goldblum

Universal Pictures has just unleashed the initial complete preview for the musical 'Wicked.' This highly anticipated film stars some of today's biggest names, including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
The preview for the upcoming film "Wicked," which is adapted from the well-liked stage production with the identical title, has been unveiled.
On Thursday, Universal Pictures released the official trailer for "Wicked" part one, which won't be shown in cinemas for another six months.
The musical "Wicked" is adapted from the famous cult novel by Gregory Maguire. The story sheds light on the early life and formative years of two witches-in-training in the magical land of Oz. One of them appears green and gloomy, destined to become the notorious Wicked Witch of the West, while the other one is blonde and cheerful, who will become the beloved Glinda the Good Witch. The musical serves as a fantastic prequel to the beloved classic, "The Wizard of Oz."
Filmmaker Jon M. Chu ("Crazy Rich Asians," "In the Heights") is at the helm of this film while production is being handled by Marc Platt ("La La Land," "The Little Mermaid").

The upcoming film "Wicked" has Cynthia Erivo as the main character, Elphaba. Ariana Grande will portray Glinda, the good witch, while Michelle Yeoh plays the school headmistress. Jonathan Bailey will play Fiyero, and Ethan Slater will be Boq. Marissa Bode will play Nessarose, Elphaba's dear sister, and Jeff Goldblum will take on the role of the Wizard of Oz.
At a gathering held by Universal Pictures in April, Grande conveyed that the entirety of her encounter was ineffable.
Goldblum shared that he has been in some wild situations in his acting career, like being pursued by prehistoric creatures and being transported inside a massive alien craft. He also mentioned taking on the role of a small insect. However, he expressed that being a part of this particular film is unlike anything he has ever experienced before. He described the entire process as surreal and magical.
When Is The 'Wicked' Movie Coming Out?
The initial installment of "Wicked" will premiere in cinemas on November 27th, and the second part is scheduled to be released during Thanksgiving in 2025.
