'Wicked' movie trailer released: Cast includes Ariana Grande, Jeff Goldblum

Universal Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for the musical 'Wicked' featuring the talented cast of Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
The preview for the film adaptation of the cherished theatrical show "Wicked" has been unveiled.
On Thursday, Universal Pictures released the official trailer for "Wicked" part one, which is scheduled to hit theaters in over six months.
The play "Wicked" is adapted from the famous novel by Gregory Maguire. It narrates the tale of two aspiring witches in the land of Oz. One of them is a sulky green witch destined to become the Wicked Witch of the West. The other one is cheerful and blond and will eventually become Glinda the Good Witch. "Wicked" is a backstory to the classic tale "The Wizard of Oz."
The movie is helmed by the director Jon M. Chu, who has previously directed popular films such as "Crazy Rich Asians" and "In the Heights." The production is being overseen by producer Marc Platt, who has had a hand in successful films like "La La Land" and the upcoming live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid."
The news has been released that Adam Sandler is going to star in the sequel of ‘Happy Gilmore’ and this will be a Netflix original.
The film adaptation known as "Wicked" features a cast of talented actors. Cynthia Erivo plays the role of Elphaba, who is also known as the Wicked Witch of the West. Ariana Grande portrays Glinda, the good witch. Meanwhile, Michelle Yeoh appears as the headmistress of their school. Other notable cast members include Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose (Elphaba's beloved sister), and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz.
Grande expressed at a Universal Pictures event in April that the overall encounter was indescribable.
Goldblum expressed that he had experienced many exhilarating things, like being pursued by prehistoric creatures, boarding a colossal spacecraft, and even imagining himself as a tiny insect. However, he confessed that he had never felt quite the same unique charm and enchantment as he did while working on this movie. He went on to describe the entire experience as surreal and dreamlike.
"Wicked" Film Premiere Date
The initial installment of "Wicked" will debut in cinemas on November 27th. The second segment is set to be released on Thanksgiving of 2025.

The musical production "Wicked" debuted on Broadway in 2003, with Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, and Joel Grey as the lead cast, portraying the characters Elphaba, Glinda, and the Wizard, respectively. Recently, the New York Theatre Guide announced that by 2023, "Wicked" will have become the fourth longest-lasting show in the history of Broadway.
