WARNING: This article discloses the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2024.

After ten weeks of intense competition in the kitchen, the champion of the 2024 season of The Great British Bake Off has been announced.

The grand finale, broadcast on Channel 4, featured the last three contestants: Christiaan, Dylan, and Georgie.

They were the final survivors from the original 12 competitors, having worked their way through several weeks filled with challenges focused on cakes, cookies, breads, caramel, pastries, autumn flavors, desserts, a nostalgic trip to the '70s, and patisserie techniques.

The champion was announced on Tuesday evening after judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith evaluated the contestants' performances throughout the 10 episodes.

The winner was Georgie Grasso, 34, from Carmarthenshire, making her the first contestant from Wales to take home the title in the show's history.

Georgie exclaimed, "This is insane!"

"I've actually done it! I can hardly comprehend this. It’s truly amazing!"

The runners-up were Christiaan, a 33-year-old originally from the Netherlands who relocated to the UK seven years ago to pursue a career with a fashion company in London, and Dylan, a 20-year-old from Buckinghamshire with an Indian mother and a father of Japanese-Belgian descent.

Georgie expressed that her victory was incredibly significant to her, especially considering the doubts she had always felt about herself.

"I’ve got a few things going on that I feel are holding me back, and I often find myself making excuses."

"This time, I decided to dive right in and give it my all. I worked tirelessly and ended up missing out on time with my kids and family."

She mentioned that she felt "really proud of herself."

"My heart is pounding, and I'm already feeling a sense of sadness about not returning to this show and not being able to see everyone," she expressed.

"The individuals I’ve come across are going to be lifelong friends. This has been the most rewarding experience I've ever had."

Georgie Grasso, the amazing talent from Wales, emerged victorious after ten episodes of The Great British Bake Off.

In the last challenge, the bakers needed to prepare scones, whip up a classic afternoon tea, and build a multi-tiered cake for a celebration that could be hung.

Prue remarked, "Georgie showcased her signature talent—perfectly executed traditional British baking—and definitely deserved to win."

Paul described Georgie's cake as "rich in taste and vibrant."

"The incredible Welsh talent, Georgie, really exceeded everyone's expectations," he remarked.
