The event took place on Sunday morning.

According to the Metropolitan Police, a man is currently in serious condition at the hospital receiving care for a heart attack following a confrontation that occurred on Westminster Bridge.

Following a call to emergency services around 10:45 GMT, the London Ambulance Service and the air ambulance transported him to the hospital.

At first, it was believed that he had been stabbed. However, the Metropolitan Police later clarified after additional investigations that this was not true. They are now looking into what led to his cardiac arrest.

The Metropolitan Police reported that three individuals have been taken into custody on charges of trying to commit murder, while one more has been arrested for causing a disturbance.

The bridge is currently shut down as law enforcement conducts their inquiry.

Two of the individuals who were detained have been hospitalized due to head injuries.

The police have requested that anyone with video recordings, whether from security cameras, smartphones, or dashboard cameras, get in touch with them.

The statement mentioned that the officers were especially eager to connect with anyone who was around during the incident and might have seen what happened.

The bridge, which was shut down for several hours for an investigation, is now back open.
