Man critical after cardiac arrest on Westminster Bridge in London

A man is battling for his survival in a hospital after experiencing a cardiac arrest on Westminster Bridge in London.

Authorities were summoned to the bridge close to the Houses of Parliament following reports of a suspected altercation around 10:45 AM on Sunday.

Early news from central London indicated that a man had been stabbed; however, the Metropolitan Police later clarified that this information was not accurate.

Investigators are looking into the circumstances that led to the man's cardiac arrest. As of Sunday evening, he remained hospitalized and in serious condition.

The London Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service responded to the location, accompanied by the police.

Three individuals were detained on charges of attempting murder, while another person was arrested for engaging in a violent disturbance. Two of those apprehended were hospitalized due to head injuries.

The police are asking anyone who saw the incident to step forward and are encouraging individuals with CCTV, smartphone, or dashcam recordings to reach out to them.
