The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) delivered an unforgettable night filled with memorable moments, including Taylor Swift honoring New York on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, and host Megan Thee Stallion channeling Britney Spears by donning a recreation of the iconic "Slave 4 U" outfit.

Swift was the standout of the night, claiming seven awards and making history as the solo artist with the most wins at the event.

Sabrina Carpenter left feeling pleased after winning the Song of the Year award for “Espresso,” which came soon after her playful encounter with an alien.

As the evening progressed, Swift topped the list with 10 nominations. At the same time, 29 artists, one of whom was the eventual Best New Artist winner Chappell Roan, received nominations for the first time.
