Bravo is set to bring back its popular series Vanderpump Rules for a twelfth season, featuring a completely fresh lineup of cast members.

On Tuesday, November 26, the network revealed that it will be bringing back the beloved reality series that features Lisa Vanderpump, 64, a former star from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, along with her team at her restaurant and bars.

Vanderpump expressed, "The past 12 years of filming have been a remarkable journey filled with joy, sorrow, and everything that comes with it. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has opened up their lives to us. I hold deep affection for you all. In the restaurant industry, one shift naturally transitions to the next. Here's to the future of Vanderpump Rules!"

"It's so exciting to continue the legacy of this series by starting fresh," said executive producer Alex Baskin. "We have a deep respect for the original cast and their memorable journey. We're eager for viewers to experience the lively new team of colleagues and friends as they navigate life together."

A sister show to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules first aired in 2013 and showcased the employees of Vanderpump's popular West Hollywood venue, SUR Restaurant & Lounge. The original cast included Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Stassi Schroeder. As time went on, the lineup expanded to feature Tom Schwartz, Ariana Madix, James Kennedy, Lala Kent, and Brittany Cartwright.

In March 2023, after being on the air for ten years, the show grabbed attention when Sandoval, 42, and Madix, 39, revealed they were getting a divorce. Their almost ten-year marriage faced turmoil due to Sandoval's relationship with co-star Rachel Leviss, who is the former fiancée of Kennedy.

Leviss later shared an apology on her Instagram, expressing: “I want to apologize to Ariana, my friends, and the fans who care so much about our relationships. There’s no justification for what I did; I’m not a victim and need to take responsibility for my actions. I sincerely regret causing Ariana pain.”

"I have looked for emotional support in close relationships that aren't good for me, ignoring my own health and sometimes harming others in the process. I've often put these intimate connections ahead of my friendships. Now, I'm working on understanding my actions better and making healthier decisions," she said.

The cheating scandal caused tensions among the cast, with some members feeling frustrated that Madix chose not to film scenes alongside Sandoval. As a result, Bravo revealed that the show, which recently completed its 11th season, would be taking a longer break before starting production on the upcoming season 12.

Commenting on the temporary halt of Vanderpump Rules, Bravo personality Andy Cohen mentioned during his May appearance on Watch What Happens Live: "Many people overlook the fact that we started filming just a couple of months after [Madix] learned about the affair, which is why she’s still in such an intense state of anger. It's completely understandable, and I think it’s significant."

"Sometimes you just want to grab your camera and start shooting because there's so much going on, and you want to capture it immediately. But other times, it's important to let people go about their lives and observe how things unfold. So, I believe taking a break is a great idea," he shared regarding the pause.
