TV tonight: the brilliant Anna Maxwell Martin stars in Until I Kill You

Until I Kill You

Until I End Your Life

Anna Maxwell Martin shines in this gripping four-part true-crime series created by Nick Stevens (known for In Plain Sight and The Pembrokeshire Murders). The narrative revolves around Delia Balmer, a nurse with a prickly personality and a tendency to keep to herself. After ending her tumultuous relationship with John Sweeney (played by Shaun Evans), during which he nearly choked her, he confesses to having murdered his former partner, then holds Delia captive in a bed for four days before he violently assaults her with an axe. The real-life Delia, who has authored a book about her ordeal, collaborated with Stevens on the screenplay. He aimed to delve into the experience of “someone who isn’t an obvious victim navigating [the UK’s] legal system.” This makes for a thought-provoking watch. – Hollie Richardson

David Attenborough is back with a stunning new seven-part series focused on the natural wonders of Asia. The journey begins "under the sea," exploring waters that are inhabited by 60% of all marine species, featuring unique creatures like fish that can climb trees, a young sperm whale, and glowing squid.

Justin (Michael Socha) finally testifies in his murder trial, and he’s not the only one in a precarious situation. Sam (Adeel Akhtar) has received a new prescription to help with his suicidal thoughts, while Felix is severing ties left and right. But can “mental health” really serve as an argument to defend the act of taking someone’s life—and perhaps even harming the planet? The jury has yet to decide. - Ellen E Jones

Sasquatch Sunset, 10:10 AM, 10:00 PM, Premiere on Sky Cinema

This unusual story brings to mind those classic Disney nature documentaries that tracked the life of an animal throughout the year, often giving it human-like qualities. However, in Nathan and David Zellner's spin, the focus is on Bigfoot. Set in the secluded woods of North America, a hairy sasquatch family—two of whom are oddly portrayed by Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg—go about their lives eating leaves, mating, smelling skunks, and struggling to find others like them. While it often elicits laughter, there's also a surprising sadness that underlines their delicate existence. Simon Wardell
