Currently, Scott McTominay is set to stay at Old Trafford, meaning Manchester United may need to think outside the box when it comes to signing new players.
In the event of players leaving, it would assist United in finalizing a long-term agreement for Ugarte, a result that both teams would favor. If this doesn't happen, a temporary loan with a requirement to purchase may still be considered.
Man Utd knows that Ugarte really wants to join and that PSG is interested in making a deal happen.
United are exploring additional midfield choices and have initiated discussions with Fiorentina regarding Sofyan Amrabat, who is a more affordable option compared to Ugarte.
Additionally, it is worth noting that Manchester United is closely monitoring Frenkie de Jong's status at Barcelona. The club has always held a strong interest in the midfielder and attempted to secure his signature last year. With only two years left on his current contract, de Jong's future at Barcelona is uncertain.
Is McTominay Leaving Man Utd?
According to Sky Sports News, Man Utd would only agree to a deal for McTominay if the midfielder requested to leave and a good offer was presented.
United have remained steadfast in their support of the 27-year-old. Erik ten Hag consistently stands by the player and praises his significance to the team in the public eye.
Napoli are still interested in McTominay, but they would need to sell players in order to have enough money to make an offer.
Fulham has started discussing again with United about McTominay and have made an offer of £25m with potential bonuses based on performance. However, they have reached an agreement with Burnley for midfielder Sander Berge, who was also being pursued by Manchester United.

Panathinaikos is nearing a deal with Manchester United to secure the services of Facundo Pellistri.

After the deal is finalized, Pellistri will go to Greece for a medical examination.
Pellistri has been loaned out three times since joining in 2019 and has one more year on his contract. United can choose to keep him for another year after that.
