UEFA Nations League

The UEFA Nations League

The UEFA Nations League is a biennial international football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations. It was created to provide more competitive matches for national teams in Europe, replacing the traditional friendly matches with a league system. The tournament features 55 national teams from Europe competing in various divisions based on their UEFA rankings.

How it works

Teams are divided into four leagues (A, B, C, D) with each league consisting of groups of 3 or 4 teams. The top teams from each group in League A compete in a final tournament to determine the UEFA Nations League champion. The bottom team from each group is relegated to the league below, while the top team from each group in Leagues B, C, and D is promoted to the league above for the next edition. The UEFA Nations League provides an exciting and competitive format for national teams to showcase their skills and compete against top European teams.
