According to Dr Alex Pillen, she is an expert on warfare and completely against any type of prejudice based on race.

An inquiry has been initiated by University College London following remarks made by one of its top professors who claimed that Israel's attack on Gaza was "more terrible than the atrocities committed at Auschwitz."

During a demonstration in the city, Dr. Alex Pillen, who is an associate professor of anthropology, expressed a pro-Palestinian stance.

It has been reported that UCL has expressed its zero-tolerance towards any act of antisemitism. The university has further announced that it will investigate whether the 54-year-old professor has violated its policies.

During the march, Dr Pillen expressed to the Evening Standard his strong opinion that the current state of affairs in Gaza is completely unacceptable and goes against basic human values. He further likened the situation to some of the most brutal and inhumane historical events, such as Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Dachau, and Lublin.

It is truly unfortunate for the human race. I am sharing my thoughts as a resident of Britain and I feel ashamed by the position the BBC has taken. The organization carries a prejudiced outlook that supports a disreputable political group.

The university made an official statement denouncing antisemitism and promising to look into any accusations involving faculty or students. Dr Michael Spence, who serves as both UCL's president and provost, expressed the university's strong disapproval of all types of antisemitism and stressed that it will not be accepted at UCL.

We've looked into the reported incidents and responded accordingly. We've carried out disciplinary procedures, notified the authorities about certain cases, and made sure that any offensive content on social media is taken down.

Dr. Pillen expressed her full regret for any emotional distress she may have caused. In her statement, she emphasized that she is an expert in studying wars and their catastrophic impacts on non-combatants. She strongly condemns all types of bigotry and discrimination, including racism and anti-Semitism. Dr. Pillen further added that her statements were taken out of context.
