Fury & Usyk separated during face-off in London
Tyson Fury has expressed his determination to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in their upcoming fight by saying "I will break him". This shows how confident Fury is in his ability to emerge victorious in the contest. He is determined to overcome his opponent and leave him feeling broken and defeated. This mindset is common in boxing, where fighters need to be mentally tough as well as physically fit. However, it's important to remember that both fighters have a chance of winning, and anything can happen in the ring. We'll have to wait and see who comes out on top.
Tyson Fury spewed a string of insults at Oleksandr Usyk and forcefully pressed his forehead against the Ukrainian during their confrontation, only to be pulled apart by security personnel in London.
The upcoming boxing match between Briton Fury, aged 35, and Ukraine's Usyk in Riyadh on February 17th will determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the era of the four-belt system.
Usyk, who is 36 years old, currently holds the WBA, WBO, and IBF championship titles. Meanwhile, Fury possesses the WBC belt.
Fury addressed Usyk, Krassyuk, and Klimas, calling them all lazy and worthless. Fury even threatened Usyk, saying he would beat him in a fight. Additionally, Fury demanded that Krassyuk and Klimas begin working for him immediately by carrying his bags.
At the news conference on Thursday, Fury continued his verbal attack towards his fellow champion by using derogatory terms such as "sausage," "ugly little man," and "rabbit."
Usyk maintained his composure and was not willing to participate in a verbal altercation.
"Are you finished? My friend. Have you ceased? Enough? Have you stopped conversing?," he inquired.
Fury from Morecambe has managed to remain unbeaten throughout his career with a record of 34 wins and just one draw. However, his last fight against Francis Ngannou in October was much closer than anticipated.
Ngannou, a previous UFC champion from France and Cameroon, was stepping into the boxing ring for the first time. Fury achieved a split-decision points win in the non-title fight, but a lot of people watching from ringside thought that Ngannou deserved an astonishing victory.
However, any notion that Ngannou's less-than-stellar performance would make the champion more modest was proven wrong when Fury confidently entered the stage on Thursday night, flaunting his moves.
Fury quickly began to criticize Usyk, cutting off Krassyuk as he began to speak.
"You are getting beaten badly. Sausage. You are pitted against the strongest British heavyweight in history," he yelled, including some swear words.
"I arrived here with the intention to engage in a confrontation. My purpose for being here is not to engage in any playful activities. I put in effort to dress up and come here with the intention of fighting. Addressing you, I express my disdain, you repugnant person."
Highly unpredictable, Fury unexpectedly started praising the unbeaten Usyk for his abilities and accomplishments in boxing, but the admiration was brief.
Usyk, who remains undefeated in all 21 of his professional matches, successfully defended his titles against Londoner Daniel Dubois back in August. During the fight, he was knocked down by a punch that the referee deemed to be below the belt.
Fury expressed his belief that his opponent was struck in the torso and was hesitant to stand for a period of five minutes. The fighter's response involved seeking assistance from the referee, which Fury described as a form of crying.
Usyk responded by stating, "Tyson's opinion regarding the matter doesn't bother me in the slightest."
As the press briefing wrapped up, the sound of the Rocky film soundtrack filled the room as the two individuals faced each other.
Unexpectedly, the famous performer Sylvester Stallone emerged and found himself wedged in between the powerful individuals.
Fury attempted to irritate his rival by fiercely slamming his head into Usyk, but Usyk stood his ground until security stopped them. Meanwhile, Stallone quickly left the scene.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that there will be a major bout between Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua occurring in Riyadh on December 23. This fight is considered by many to be the most significant in all of boxing, and it will also be taking place in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
It is going to be included in the 'Riyadh Season', which is a yearly celebration of entertainment that takes place during the winter season in the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The event first started in 2019.
The Gulf Kingdom is now the central destination for boxing internationally, but it has attracted criticism due to several factors including its significant human rights violations. For instance, last year, the country executed 81 men in one day, and there are widespread reports of women's rights being curtailed and the criminalization of homosexuality. In addition, free speech is tightly regulated, and the war in Yemen further complicates the situation.

The lively Outernet in the heart of London was also the location for a press conference between Fury and Ngannou in September. During the event, Fury was his typically confident and playful self.
He stepped up his game on Thursday. Fury began his speech by expressing gratitude towards the people who voted him as the most attractive athlete in the world.
The upcoming major heavyweight fight is being promoted with the slogan 'Ring of fire', where Fury is being portrayed as the fiery one, while Usyk is being depicted as the calm one. It's been over two decades since we had an undisputed heavyweight champion, with Lennox Lewis being the last one to achieve this feat in 1999 by securing victories in his WBA, WBC, and IBF title defenses against Evander Holyfield.
Although it is unclear whether there will be a rematch clause for either boxer, Frank Warren, who is Fury's promoter, has mentioned the possibility of a second match depending on the results of the initial fight.
Warren expressed his belief that there would be widespread interest in witnessing the fight if it proves to be a thrilling one, as he spoke to BBC Sport.
The folks over at Team Fury are also planning to take on Ngannou once more. Ngannou, who is new to the sport of boxing, now holds the 10th spot in the WBC rankings. This means that if a rematch were to happen, there is a possibility it could be for Fury's championship belt.
For quite some time now, Fury has been continually mocking Usyk through his social media posts, repeatedly calling him a "worthless person". Usyk has responded occasionally, but this time he chose to remain quiet and not engage.
Both boxers hold respect for each other, but Usyk's team was upset by Fury's behavior during their face-to-face encounter. Although a fight of this size does not require any theatrics, Fury is known for being a showman.
