The US Secret Service has confirmed that one person who was nearby has died and two others are currently in critical condition in the hospital.

The person who carried out the attack, identified by the FBI as Thomas Matthew Crooks, aged 20, was also killed in the incident.

Simon Harris, the Taoiseach, explained to the Sunday Politics show on BBC News NI that the crime was truly terrible and extremely evil.

He was glad to hear that Mr. Trump had talked to President Joe Biden after the event.

The leader of Ireland stated that it is important to reduce the harsh language used when criticizing political opponents and emphasized the necessity for strong leadership in the US, Europe, and Ireland.

Gavin Robinson, leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, described the attempted assassination as a disgusting attempt to interfere with the democratic process.

He expressed his condolences and thoughts are with all those who were hurt or lost loved ones in the attack.

Starmer Shocked By Trump Shooting

President Biden said the assassination attempt was "disgusting" and expressed his "relief" that Mr. Trump was unharmed.

The White House also verified that the president spoke with Mr. Trump.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, expressed his strong disapproval of the disturbing events at the rally and extended his best wishes to the former president and his family.

He wrote on social media that there is no place for political violence in our societies, and expressed his sympathy for all the victims of the attack.

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, had a conversation with Mr. Trump following the incident.

The incident left EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen feeling very surprised and upset.

I hope Donald Trump gets better quickly and my thoughts are with the family of the innocent person who was harmed.

She also stated, "There is no room for political violence in a democratic society."

Ulster Unionist Party chief Doug Beattie stated that any effort to weaken democracy through violent means should be denounced by everyone, regardless of their opinions.

Jim Allister, the head of the Traditional Unionist Voice party, called the incidents "alarming" and stated that even though Mr. Trump made it out safely, it highlights the danger to democracy posed by individuals who turn to violence.

Trump: What Went Down At The Rally?

During a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Mr. Trump was quickly taken off stage when a shooter began firing from a nearby building around 6:15 pm on Saturday.

Former President was surrounded by Secret Service agents after a few shots were fired, then quickly ushered into a nearby car.

After the shooting incident, the ex-president took to social media to reveal that a bullet had entered the "top portion" of his right ear.

The ex-president was brought in for medical care, but has now been discharged.

The shooter, who was named by the FBI as Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was subsequently killed in a confrontation with law enforcement.

One onlooker lost their life in the shooting, while two others are in critical condition after being injured.

The FBI announced that they are considering the incident as a possible assassination attempt.
