Sergio Reguilon insists Tottenham will win something under Jose Mourinho

Sergio Reguilon is hoping Tottenham can end their 12-year trophy drought under decorated boss, Jose Mourinho.

Recent years had seen Tottenham grow and grow as a club, with the Lilywhites even reaching a Champions League final in 2019.
However, even at their best under Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs couldn’t win a single trophy.
In fact, it has now been 12 years since the north Londoners picked up any silverware.
Their last trophy came back in 2008 when they were able to lift the League Cup.

Unlike Spurs though, Jose Mourinho is well known for his trophy-winning.
Even at Manchester United, arguably his worst stint as a boss, he was still able to win the League Cup, Europa League and Community Shield.
So, with Spurs going well in this season’s Europa League and already into the semi-final of the League Cup against lower-league opposition, Tottenham fans are no doubt hopeful of some silverware coming their way in 2021.
One man who is seemingly sure of his side picking up a trophy in the near future is Sergio Reguilon.
The Spaniard joined Spurs over the summer from La Liga powerhouse, Real Madrid, and is now very confident that Tottenham can pick up a trophy under the ‘self-assured’ Jose Mourinho:
“I saw, I don’t know where, that in his second year Mourinho has won a title with every team he has been with.
“I personally look at him, I see that self-assurance that he has in himself and I say: ‘We are going to win something, yes’.
“We are going to have to win something. With that mentality, things get done.”
