Police in Calgary arrested the conservative activist, aged 41, for suspected violations related to immigration and escorted him to the rear of a police vehicle.

Robinson, also known as Stephen Yaxley Lennon, stated that he was freed on Monday but was required to surrender his passport to Canadian officials.

He shared on X: "I'm finally able to do what I want, kind of, but nothing seems to make sense."

"I am currently stuck in Calgary, unable to leave the city. These circumstances are hindering my plans to travel across Canada and meet with guests for podcast interviews. I am even prohibited from returning home."

On his X channel, he shared a video where he questioned the reason for his detention: "I can't believe this. Can I please have legal representation? Could you at least inform me of the charges against me?"

Robinson traveled to the country to participate in a podcast event in front of 150 audience members. The podcast was hosted by Rebel News and focused on topics such as "freedom of speech," "lawfare," and Robinson's struggles with British law enforcement.
