Many individuals have come together in the heart of London to participate in a rally organized by far-right figure Tommy Robinson.

Approximately 1,000 police officers have been sent to the streets of the city to maintain order in anticipation of protest demonstrations on Saturday.

Demonstrators were spotted lining the Strand in attire adorned with flags representing the Union, England, Scotland, and Wales.

The people in the crowd were loudly repeating phrases like "Rule Britannia", "We demand our nation's return", and chanting Mr Robinson's name.

One person protesting climbed onto a telephone box, while others held signs with the message “Not extreme right, just correct.”

Many Israeli flags were also being displayed.

In a recent post on X before the event, Mr Robinson, also known as Stephen Yaxley Lennon, mentioned that the demonstration would be "the largest patriotic gathering the UK has ever witnessed".

He went from the Royal Courts of Justice to a gathering in Trafalgar Square around 12:45pm.

A demonstration by the group Stand Up To Racism and Jeremy Corbyn's Peace & Justice Project will be marching from Russell Square to a rally in Whitehall.

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) and 11 trade unions are backing it, along with organizations like Stop the War Coalition, Peace & Justice Project, and Unite Against Fascism.

The authorities have utilized their authority under the Public Order Act to prevent clashes between the opposing factions and prevent potential chaos.

Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, the leader of this weekend's mission, cautioned that law enforcement will take strong action against demonstrators who violate the strict rules regarding when and where they can protest.

He stated that our main focus is on maintaining peace so that those participating in legal protests can do so without any harm.

We have taken action in accordance with the Public Order Act to carefully plan and control the schedules and paths of marches and gatherings, guaranteeing that different groups remain separate.

"Police will take action immediately to address any violations of those rules, stop criminal activity, and handle any other incidents that may occur."

Everyone deserves to feel secure and protected while in London.

Anyone who misuses their protest rights to intimidate others or spread hate speech will be dealt with by the police.

There will be a lot of police officers around, so if you are in London and feel scared or need to tell someone about something that happened, make sure to talk to a police officer, even if you are not taking part in the events.

A Trans Pride gathering is happening this Saturday, with a march starting at Langham Place and ending at Wellington Arch. At the event, speeches will be given.

The police stated that there are no requirements set before the Trans Pride event.
