However, Draper was unable to sustain his performance against Tommy Paul on Friday. Despite making a comeback in the second set after losing the first, Draper ultimately lost momentum in the third set.

Paul emerged victorious with a final score of 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.

British number one Draper achieved the most significant victory of his profession by defeating Wimbledon champion Alcaraz at Queen's Club. However, the 22-year-old was ultimately defeated by American fifth seed Paul in a match lasting two hours and one minute.

In the crucial middle of the final set, Draper made a key mistake that led to him losing the game without winning any points. This was followed by a double fault, which ultimately gave Paul the advantage in the match.

Draper's winning streak of seven matches came to an end following his victory in Stuttgart last week, where he secured his first ATP title.

Paul exclaimed that he was playing great tennis. He was aware that today's match was going to be challenging.

"He has been playing outstanding tennis, so I am very pleased to have won that match."

He added: "His serve is challenging to return, as he plays with a lot of aggression. It really disrupts your rhythm and throws you off."

The most important thing for me was to just focus on playing my best and I believe I managed to do that quite well.

Delivery driver Billy Harris faced a setback in his attempt to make it to the semi-finals at Queen's.

The 29-year-old underdog from Nottingham unexpectedly made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament after competing in lesser-known events for most of his career while traveling in a van.

However, his time in west London came to an end when he was defeated by the swift-moving Italian player Lorenzo Musetti, who scored a 6-3, 7-5 victory in just under two hours.

But now, Harris can splurge on a new car thanks to a large paycheck for just four days of work.

After receiving a Wimbledon wild card that promised him £60,000, he increased his total earnings for the week to £121,000 by reaching the quarter-finals.

Before she attended Queen's, Harris had earned a total of £230,000 in prize money over her career.

Jordan Thompson earned his second win against a top-15 player by defeating Taylor Fritz with a score of 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals.

"I'm really happy to make it to the semifinals, especially since I've been struggling recently. I'm glad I was able to perform well on the grass courts," Thompson shared. "This just proves that if you keep working hard, you can continue to get better no matter your age. I feel like I'm progressing."

In the doubles match, Neal Skupski emerged victorious over his fellow British Olympics partner Joe Salisbury.

Skupski and Michael Venus from New Zealand defeated Salisbury and Rajeev Ram from the USA with a score of 7-6 in the first set and 7-6 in the second set.

In Berlin, Victoria Azarenka was the sole player to reach the semi-finals on Friday. She progressed after Elena Rybakina had to withdraw from the match due to abdominal pain while trailing 3-1 in the first set.
