Tom Hanks has foreseen that an American woman and a man of non-white origin will be the first to land on the moon in the next few years, specifically within the span of three to four years.

The 67-year-old American actor who won an Oscar, has told a story called The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks, which is based on missions to the moon. This recital was held at the Lightroom in London.

Before the inauguration, Hanks informed the PA news agency that in the following three to four years, it is possible that the first woman and the first non-white American male will set foot on the moon. This event will be a significant milestone for humanity, just like Neil Armstrong's historic moon landing in 1960.

Hanks collaborated with Christopher Riley, a writer and director who was nominated for a Bafta award, to create a vivid portrayal of the Apollo missions. They incorporated Nasa footage and photographs from Andy Saunders' book, Apollo Remastered.

According to Riley, Hanks has always worked towards spreading positivity and promoting the idea of space exploration as a meaningful and impactful mission.

He also mentioned: "This entire period of human history, both 50 years ago and now, highlights the positive aspects of humanity during a time of great despair."

"This is a story with a positive spin, which is essentially my optimistic perspective."

Hanks remembered observing stones amassed by venerable figures such as astronauts Armstrong and David Scott, as well as "legends," at the Lunar Receiving Laboratory in Nasa's Johnson Space Centre in Texas. These stones indicate concrete indications of water on the moon.

In different terms, Hanks mentioned that the presence of tangible proof indicating the existence of water on the moon's surface could signify that water is genuinely present on the moon. This discovery would be significant for all of humanity and would alter the way we perceive the moon and its capacity to sustain life.

He further explained that the intrigue stems from our inherent and instinctive inclination towards being curious.

At 67 years old, Hanks also said, "It's remarkable that both of us grew up during a time when mankind was still developing the idea of traveling to space, and now it's a reality that we can actually explore."

On the one side, it's something that happens often, but on the flip side, the vast expanse of space is filled with intriguing mysteries and treasures that will be a challenge for many generations to try and unravel.

Nick Corrigan and Lysander Ashton, both of 59 Productions, co-directed the production, which includes a unique orchestral score composed by Canadian artist Anne Nikitin.

In the past, Hanks acted as Captain Jim Lovell, an astronaut, in Apollo 13. He was a member of the board of governors for the National Space Society and received recognition from the Space Foundation.

Additionally, he created the limited series From The Earth To The Moon on HBO and collaboratively wrote the Imax movie Magnificent Desolation: Walking On The Moon 3D.

Tom Hanks' The Moonwalkers: A Journey will debut on Wednesday at the Lightroom located in King's Cross, London.
