Tom Daley proudly displayed his knitting talents while cheering on Team GB as they secured their first medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics in a women's diving competition.

The skilled diver, who is 30 years old and participating in his fifth competition, was seen sitting comfortably in the audience on Saturday morning. He was seen knitting a jumper with blue, white, and red colors, with his last name displayed prominently on the back.

Daley clinched the top spot in the men's 10m synchronized diving competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Throughout the event, he was frequently seen holding onto needles and yarn in photos.

The sportsman started knitting during the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020. He mentioned that knitting helps him relax and take his mind off things between competitions. Photos of him happily knitting during events have been captured numerous times.

Daley, the author of a helpful knitting book titled Made With Love, was chosen to carry the flag for Team GB alongside rower Helen Glover during the rainy opening ceremony last Friday.

During the parade along the River Seine, Team GB members were spotted recreating a scene from the Titanic movie, with one athlete holding another on the front of the boat.

Celine Dion, the singer who performed the song My Heart Will Go On for the movie that won an Oscar, ended the event with a touching performance from the Eiffel Tower.

During her recent live show, the Canadian artist sang Edith Piaf's L’Hymne A L’Amour. This was her first performance since opening up about her diagnosis of the rare neurological disorder, stiff person syndrome (SPS), which leads to muscle spasms and increasing muscle stiffness.

Daley, who is the father of two children with Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, expressed his excitement on Instagram. He mentioned how privileged he felt to be carrying the flag at the opening ceremony for Team GB alongside @helenglovergb.

I showed my boys a heart hand gesture on TV! I am thrilled to have them with me to enjoy this experience during my 5th games! Despite the rainy weather.

Daley is taking part in the 10m synchronised diving event with Noah Williams at the Aquatics Centre on Monday. He was there to support his teammates Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen, who won bronze in the women's synchronised 3m springboard event in a thrilling competition on Saturday morning.

The duo was in fourth place before the last round, but a mistake on the board during the Australian team's final dive allowed Team GB to take third place. China's Yani Chang and Yiwen Chen won the gold medal, while Team USA's Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook won the silver medal.
