Selena Gomez's Gossiping Wasn't About Timothée Chalamet And Kylie Jenner

The meeting between Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Keleigh Sperry caused a huge reaction on the internet, but it wasn't what people thought it was.

On Monday, after the 2024 Golden Globe awards, a video surfaced online featuring Selena Gomez chatting with her close friends Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry. The three were apparently discussing Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's relationship. This clip quickly spread across various online platforms.

But, according to a recent source, things weren't exactly as they appeared. A close contact of Selena's mentioned to PEOPLE that she was not referring to anything related to Timothée or Kylie. In fact, she apparently never even laid eyes on or interacted with them.

Even though Selena's voice was not audible, a widespread piece of gossip began to circulate that she had revealed to her friends that she had requested a photo with Timothée, but Kylie had refused.

Selena received a nomination for the excellent portrayal of a female character in a TV musical or comedy in the show Only Murders in the Building, whereas Timothée, who has been friends with Selena for a long time, was nominated for his acting skills in the movie Wonka in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture.

The duo has been acquainted for a long time since they acted together in the movie called A Rainy Day In New York which was released in 2019.

It's uncertain if Selena was referring to Timothée or not, but she appeared to have a enjoyable time with her pals before meeting up with her beau Benny Blanco later in the evening.

Although Selena didn't win the Golden Globe for her role in The Bear, losing to Ayo Edebiri, she shared on Instagram that she felt like a winner in other areas. She posted a cute picture of her and her boyfriend Benny and stated "I won".

At the same time, Timothée chose an event where celebrities walk on a red carpet to introduce his new girlfriend Kylie as his guest. They didn't pose for photos when they first arrived, but they were later seen at their table during the event, happily photographed together.

There was footage captured during the evening where the couple was caught conversing while being unaware of the cameras filming them. They appeared to have expressed their affection towards each other by saying "I love you" while intently staring into each other's eyes.

Timothée might not have received the award that The Holdovers presented to Paul Giamatti, but he seemed victorious in every other aspect as he and Kylie relished their own private sphere.
