Devon thunderstorm warning issued by Met Office

Forecasters have issued alerts for thunderstorms and strong downpours in certain areas of Devon.

According to the Met Office, there is a slight possibility of flooding and challenging driving conditions in certain areas.

The yellow warning for severe weather is now in effect starting at 4:00 BST. This warning covers a wide area of southern England, the Midlands, and the north. It will last until 23:59.

Meteorologists cautioned that there would be thunderstorms and intense rainfall in the southern part of England in the morning, gradually spreading towards the north throughout the day.
