A truck toppled onto a slope close to Thelwall Viaduct.
Authorities have announced that intricate repair work has commenced to restore a motorway bridge following an incident where a truck veered off the road and landed on the slope below.
A truck fell from Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 close to Warrington, Cheshire, around 6:50 PM BST on Monday.
Cheshire Police stated that the driver is not thought to have sustained any injuries that could endanger their life.
National Highways announced that two of the four lanes heading north on the viaduct between junctions 20 and 21 are still closed. They advised motorists to plan for additional travel time.

The Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighters utilized specialized gear to lower themselves in order to access the driver.
The team used water to bring down the temperature of the truck.
Bunding was implemented to manage a spill of approximately 220 gallons (1,000 liters) of bio-diesel from the fuel tanks of the vehicle.
Law enforcement asked drivers to steer clear of the location after the event.
National Highways announced that a "difficult repair task" is currently taking place and will carry on into the morning.
