Be Careful of Hungry Bears: Potential Challenges for Elon Musk's New Town, According to Arwa Mahdawi.

The Boring Company

Despite your opinions on Elon Musk, he is undoubtedly a busy person. While others may struggle with maintaining social media, raising children, criticizing ex-employees, experimenting with pig brain chips, taking in government subsidies, producing automobiles, and attempting a Mars mission, Musk is tackling all these things while also constructing a community in Texas to accommodate his followers and supporters.

The latest group of individuals living and working together has been given the name Snailbrook (named after the mascot of Musk's Boring Company). According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Musk has referred to this community as a perfect place in Texas where his employees can be both productive and happy living there.

Last year, Musk left California for Texas and didn't have very positive things to say about his former home. He criticized the state for having too many regulations, lawsuits, and taxes. It seems like he was happy to move to Texas, where regulations are more relaxed and there is no income tax. In fact, it seems like he is even trying to create his own town so that he can have even more freedom to do whatever he wants. Unfortunately, this could mean that he could potentially harm the environment as he has applied to dump large quantities of wastewater near the Colorado River. Musk reportedly spoke to the previous mayor of Austin, Steve Adler, to make sure that he would not be stopped by government regulations. Adler stated that "he just wanted the city to work quickly" for him.

Have you heard of the Free Town Project? It was an attempt by some libertarians to create their own perfect world without rules or regulations. They chose a small town in New Hampshire called Grafton to turn into an Ayn Rand-inspired paradise. But things didn't go as planned. Many strange people came to town and decided to do away with all public services. Chaos ensued as everything fell apart, including the town being invaded by hungry bears. To make matters worse, there was fighting between the libertarians themselves and even an angry llama named Hurricane. It's safe to say that the experiment was a complete failure. Elon Musk isn't the first person to try and create a rule-free utopia, but history has shown us that it's not as easy as it sounds.

Now, let's check if Snailbrook has improved. Luckily for Musk, he doesn't have to worry about bears in Texas.
