The business withdrew the Multipacks of Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars and Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars, as they suspected the presence of peanuts in them, despite the absence of such information on their labels.

Tesco stated that this could potentially endanger those who have a peanut allergy.

Selling for £1.15 in packs of six, these items are a significant danger to individuals with peanut allergies. They can cause several reactions, including hives and anaphylactic shock. If not treated immediately, this can lead to fatality.

The Food Standards Agency suggested that customers bring the items back to receive a complete reimbursement and to avoid ingesting them.

The agency put out a statement advising people who have purchased the mentioned products to not consume them and to bring them back to any Tesco store for a complete reimbursement.

Tesco is withdrawing the mentioned items from purchasers and has been instructed to get in touch with appropriate allergy support groups who will inform their members about the withdrawal. Additionally, the organization has sent out a notification to its buyers that specifies the reason for the recall and provides guidance on what actions to take if they have acquired the item.

Tesco notified groups that support individuals with allergies and sent out recall notifications to customers to inform them about the issue. The corporation stated that a packaging error, or "mispack", caused the chocolate coatings to be improperly labeled.

The product recall pertains to specific sets of the Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack that has the expiration date of February 28, 2025. Additionally, the Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack has various expiry dates, specifically January 31, 2025, and February 28, 2025.

According to a statement released by the Food Standards Agency, the multipack of Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars is being recalled owing to the presence of peanuts, which have not been mentioned on the label. This makes the product a possible threat to the well-being of those who are allergic to peanuts.

The organization issued a warning advising customers who have purchased the specified items not to consume them. Instead, they should bring them back to any Tesco outlet to receive a complete refund. For further assistance, customers may contact Tesco Customer Services at 0800 505 555.
