Clubcard Customers of Tesco Receives One-Month Prior Notice about App Closure

Tesco, a large supermarket chain in the United Kingdom, has made the decision to close down its Tesco Clubcard application that provides clients with coupons and reduced prices. The shutdown is scheduled to occur on the 18th of April, 2023.

The current system of collecting Clubcard points and redeeming them for vouchers will be completely replaced by the new Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. Additionally, users will be able to compile shopping lists using the app.

Clients may also utilize the application to verify the current availability of products.

For all the existing Clubcard users, their present discounts, vouchers and points shall be transferred to the new application. Additionally, their accounts will move over without any manual intervention.

Individuals who opt against downloading the latest extension must utilize their web-based accounts in lieu of it.

In the start of 2022, Tesco launched the Pay+ card to provide a new way for its 20 million Clubcard members to make purchases, accrue Clubcard points, and save money. However, the supermarket chain ceased the service in late February 2023.
