Tesco is asking customers to bring back its Tsukune chicken skewers because the packs have been labeled with the wrong use-by date. The supermarket warned that this mistake could pose health risks.
The company announced that customers who return the 280g eight-pack will receive a complete refund. They explained that the use-by date listed on the product as 23/12/2024 was a mistake; the accurate date should have been 10/12/2024.
Tesco warned in a recall notice that extending the Use by Date could jeopardize health if the product is stored beyond its intended shelf life.
"If you have purchased a product with the batch code 241025, please refrain from consuming it. Instead, bring it back to any Tesco store, and you will receive a full refund without needing a receipt."
The Food Standards Agency also released a recall notice for a product that the supermarket referred to as “chicken mixed with spring onion and ginger purée, accompanied by a packet of rice wine and soy sauce.”
This week, Tesco also announced a recall for a specific iced coffee brand that uses oat milk, as it was discovered that one batch mistakenly included dairy milk.
Grind is recalling a particular date and batch code for their 250ml Iced Vanilla Oat Latte Coffee. The supermarket issued a notice explaining that, due to a packaging mistake, some cans may have been filled with Grind Iced Matcha Latte, which includes milk.
"This may pose a danger for individuals who are allergic to or cannot tolerate milk and its components," it stated.
