According to authorities, the Guardia Civil is organizing a significant search effort to locate the missing British man in the village of Masca.

We need all volunteer groups to work together, including Civil Protection, firefighters, and private individuals who are skilled in searching rough terrain.

The extensive search is scheduled for Saturday, June 29th starting at 9am.

Considering that this terrain is rough and uneven, with many ravines, trails, and roads, the statement asks for the cooperation of all Volunteer Associations who can assist in this planned mission in a cohesive and organized way.

Authorities have advised volunteers to contact the Guardia Civil at 696434031 before 8pm tonight if they wish to participate in the search.

The young adult, who is 19 years old and is from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, went missing after trying to walk back to where he was staying because he missed the bus.

The new bricklayer had gone to the NRG music festival on the island with two pals before he went missing and was last contactable on Monday of the previous week.

The journey from where Mr. Slater was last seen, which was Rural de Teno Park in the northern part of the island, to his place of stay would have required approximately 11 hours of walking.

Meanwhile, a friend of Mr. Slater spoke on ITV's This Morning about their final video call with the 19-year-old.

Brad, a good friend of Mr. Slater, confirmed to the reporter that he witnessed the young person's feet slipping on rocks. This is how he deduced that Mr. Slater was not on a designated path.

Brad mentioned that Mr. Slater descended down a "small decline" during one of his recent video chats.

He mentioned that the teenager who went missing was not worried and they were both "giggling" about the situation.

"He mentioned his location and didn't appear worried during the phone call, but we were only concerned when we realized how distant he was," Brad explained.

I told him to turn on his location. He replied, "It's a 15-minute drive or a 14-hour walk." Unsure if his estimate was correct, I suggested, "It's only a 15-minute drive, just take a taxi."

Fresh investigation might be the last nudge

Shingi Mararike, a reporter for Sky News, is currently in the beautiful island of Tenerife.

As soon as we got to the national park on the edge of Tenerife today to report on the search for Jay Slater, we noticed a change in the atmosphere.

There were not as many police officers and vehicles around as before. It seems like they have stopped looking in the caves and deep valleys that they were focusing on earlier this week.

Instead, the few officers in the team headed towards some nearby small villages along the curvy, narrow road. Afterward, they turned back and returned to the observation spot close to where Jay's phone was believed to have been last found.

They took a break to have a lively conversation. As they pointed to different areas of the dry, countryside scenery, it was obvious that they were collaborating and strategizing.

Next, shortly after, the Civil Guard provided a new report. They announced that the following day at 9am, they will intensify their search for Jay. They plan to collaborate with other emergency responders and also seek assistance from skilled volunteers who are familiar with challenging landscapes.

The scenery poses a definite obstacle, but another concern for future visitors will be the high level of activity in the Masca area.

The small town is bustling with hikers and visitors, bustling with activity from the break of dawn.

The team searching for the missing teenager will need to make their way through all of these challenges while they try to follow his path and uncover any signs of what might have occurred to him.

Tomorrow will be the 13th day of searching for Jay Slater. The Civil Guard is putting in a final attempt to make progress in the search.

Even with additional resources and staff, it will still be a tough day for everyone participating.

The police made an announcement today, while Mr. Slater's family expressed gratitude for the assistance of a TikTok influencer who is spearheading an internet effort to find the missing teenager.

Sky News recently interviewed Paul Arnott, who has been posting videos of his search on TikTok. He mentioned that he traveled to Tenerife after learning that the family required assistance.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph, Mr. Slater's family took notice of his work and reached out to him. They scheduled a meeting for Thursday.

"They told me they are so pleased with the work I am doing," said Mr. Arnott, 29, in an interview with the newspaper.

Debbie Duncan, Mr. Slater's mom, expressed her trust in the police in an interview with the newspaper. She specifically mentioned Mr. Arnott, who is known for his TikTok account Down the Rapids and identifies as an "explorer", as well as another TikTok user named Callum Rahim, for their help.

Discover more: Spanish officials are not providing any information about the disappearance of the teenager. Rescue teams are using drones to focus on a specific area.

She expressed her gratitude to Paul Arnott, Callum Rahim, and their companions for assisting the search and rescue teams.

As for me, you are aware of my mental health and paranoia, you witnessed it yourself. Our family is currently experiencing a continuous nightmare.

Social media has also brought some negative aspects to the family, as Ms. Duncan and her son's friends have been the focus of conspiracy theories.

The building company where Mr. Slater works posted on Facebook today asking people to please stop sending them unkind emails and spreading rumors online.

In addition, Ms Duncan announced that the £36,000 raised from over 3,200 donations will be used to cover her lodging and meal expenses while she continues her stay on the island. The funds will also go towards supporting the rescue teams.
