Donna Kelce has shared her plans for Thanksgiving and whether her son, Travis Kelce, will be accompanied by Taylor Swift.

On Thursday, November 14, the mother of two NFL players was featured on the Today show, where she talked about her plans for the upcoming holiday on November 28. True to the Thanksgiving tradition, Donna shared that she would be going to a football game.

"I'm heading to a football game," she mentioned. "Travis has a match scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving. You know how football is a staple during the holidays; it's really about family. We haven't made any specific plans yet. I think we'll just watch the game and enjoy that."

On November 29, Travis is set to compete with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in a match against the Las Vegas Raiders.

When the hosts of the Today show inquired whether the Grammy winner would be joining her family for an appearance, Donna responded: "I don't believe so. She’s really occupied at the moment. She still has to finish her tour."

Donna has shared her opinions about her youngest son dating the pop star in the past.

In her interview with WSJ Magazine in November 2023, Travis expressed her regret for describing her time with Swift at football games as just "okay," which had led to rumors about her not being fond of the “Cruel Summer” artist.

Donna shared that her son's relationship with Swift was "relatively recent" when she first spoke about it, and she expressed her joy over his happiness. "I can say this," she mentioned to the publication. "He’s more joyful than I’ve seen in a long time… Good for him, he really aimed high!"

The artist known for the song "Karma" is about to start the final phase of her Eras Tour, which began in March 2023. She will be putting on six performances in Toronto from November 14 to November 23, followed by three shows in Vancouver. The tour will wrap up on December 8.

In her recent tour breaks, Swift has made an effort to go to every home game of the Chiefs to cheer on Travis.

While the "Fortnight" artist attended several away games last season, she is said to be more reluctant this year because of security issues at different football stadiums. A source shared with Page Six, “When she goes anywhere that isn’t Arrowhead, there are worries about security. She has collaborated with Arrowhead multiple times, so they know her well and feel comfortable. But when it comes to other stadiums, it's important to send a security team beforehand.”

Recently, Swift was present at the Chiefs game versus the Denver Broncos on November 10. During this match, Travis matched the Chiefs' touchdown record with his 76th career reception. When Swift reached Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium in a golf cart, her security team swiftly worked to keep photographers away from the vehicle. "Everyone, step back! Step back!" one of the security personnel exclaimed loudly.

In a video clip that circulated on social media, Swift addressed the security guard with a calm request. “Please take a step back,” she stated before proceeding into the event.

The local radio station Sports Radio 810 WHB posted the video on X/Twitter with the message: “Taylor Swift is such a lovely person! We’re thrilled to have her as a member of #ChiefsKingdom.”
