In the song "Is it Over Now?", Swift croons that her former lover Styles searches for something better in every bed of different models. Following his breakup with Swift, Styles has been rumored to have relationships with numerous models like Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski.

A different section of the song says: "In a situation where you no longer have command (yes)/ Blood the color of red and snow the color of white (yes)/ A blue dress on a boat (yes)/ Your current partner resembles me."

The phrase "red blood, white snow" appears to reference a part of the song "Out of the Woods". In the lyrics, Taylor Swift mentions an incident where her ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles, had to receive twenty stitches after hitting the brakes too early. This incident is believed to be related to an accident that occurred during their ski trip in 2012, where Harry crashed a snowmobile he was operating. Pictures of him with a bandaged chin later surfaced.

At the same time, the "blue dress on a boat" refers to a well-known paparazzi photograph from 2013. The picture depicts Swift sitting on a boat by herself as she departs from the Virgin Gorda island, which was said to have occurred following a disagreement with Styles.

This gave a hint to fanatics that the tune would incorporate a contemporary plot or allusions, with a poetic turn from the use of the fountain pen, and an added bit of playfulness from the glitter pen.

Certain supporters believe that the words in "Slut" allude to Styles, who was experiencing peak popularity as a member of One Direction while dating Swift.
