Tasha Ghouri Avoids Talk Of Ex Giovanni Pernice

Tasha Ghouri, who gained fame on Love Island UK season 8, has moved forward from her previous relationship with ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice.

Tasha, who is 26 years old, had a short romance with Giovanni, who is 34, a few months before she entered Love Island in the summer of 2022. Now, two years later, Giovanni has faced accusations of bullying a former dance partner, which he has denied.

In a profile published on Sunday, November 17, in the Sunday Times, Tasha skillfully evaded a journalist's inquiry regarding the dancer and the rumors surrounding him, referring to him only as “someone from the past.”

Tasha, who is deaf and uses a cochlear implant, and Giovanni are said to have started dating in early 2022, but neither of them has discussed their relationship openly.

Giovanni, a champion dancer from the U.K. show Strictly Come Dancing, faced serious allegations earlier this year when his former partner, Amanda Abbington, accused him of inappropriate conduct and bullying during rehearsals. In response, the BBC, which broadcasts Strictly, initiated an investigation into his actions. As a result, he was excluded from the lineup of professional dancers for the current season.

Last month, Giovanni refuted the claims during an interview on the U.K.'s Lorraine.

"Bully is a significant term, and there’s a distinction between being a bully and having a passion for your work," he explained in October. "The findings of the investigation didn’t label me as a bully, and that’s why I feel relieved. I’m pleased that all 11 accusations have been dismissed. Initially, there were some serious claims, such as threatening or mistreating her, and those have all been dropped."

Giovanni shared, "I consider myself a tough instructor. I've admitted this myself. I’m very passionate about my work and I have a strong competitive spirit. I claimed the Glitterball trophy back in 2021 with Rose Ayling-Ellis. While I don't feel the need to win every time, I promise I'll do everything I can to help you reach your full potential."

Tasha has moved forward and found happiness with Andrew Le Page after their challenging experiences on Love Island UK season 8. The couple has now purchased a house together and welcomed a puppy named Luna into their lives.

Andrew, 29, is Tasha’s biggest supporter as she happens to be competing in the current season of Strictly. She is paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.

“She excitedly told the Times, ‘Andrew is the guy I plan to marry one day.’ She also mentioned that Aljaz, who is 34, has offered to help with their first dance. ‘I’ll tell Aljaz to take it easy and keep it simple,’ she said.”

Although Tasha and Andrew view their bond as the ultimate goal, they don't intend to revisit their time on the ITV dating program.

"It's a television series, right? It'll always be around. When we reflect on it, the important thing is that we connected, and that's what counts," Tasha shared. "We haven't rewatched it since we don't feel the need to. Perhaps we will when we're 80."
